PPO

Preferred Provider Organization, referred to as PPO, are popular due to their flexibility and the freedom they provide for you, as an insured.

While visiting a doctor, most patients prefer being treated by a physician they are comfortable with, rather than being forced to choose from a list of “in-network” physicians. Additionally, if you are familiar with some symptoms or injuries you may have developed, and want to go directly to a specialist to have them treated, instead of having to visit your PCP first to get a referral to go to your specialist, then a PPO plan is probably for you.
