It is mandated by most states for businesses to add worker’s compensation upon an employee’s new hire to the business. Businesses have statutory obligations that require them to compensate their employees if they have been injured or are exposed to an illness due to job related incidents. While high-risk, work-intensive businesses normally do not have the option to avoid WC coverage.
